M-TRAP

Pheromone trap for monitoring the presence of cloth moths

This specialized M-Trap has been designed for intensive capture of the webbing clothes moth (Tineola bisselliella) and the casemaking clothes moth (Tinea pellionella). It ensures safety of natural, artificial and mixed fabrics stocked in museums.
The attractant is a synthetic female pheromone luring the males into the trap. The trap's unique design makes it easier and more enticing for the insects to enter the glued surface. The trap captures male specimens, preventing the formation of new generations of the voracious cloth moth larvae.
This tineid moth trap is characterized by long-lasting activity (pheromone emission). The trap efficiency is only limited by its surface being covered with the captured moths. The trap's design makes it easy and quick to assemble. The trap is harmless to humans and domestic animals.
